A moving sedan caught fire on a busy Taoyuan road late Sunday night, but everyone inside got out safely.

• The car started smoking while driving on Jinling Road, and the driver pulled over just before it burst into flames.
• Everyone escaped, and no one was hurt.
• Firefighters sent 17 crew and 7 trucks, and put the fire out in about 10 minutes.
• The car was burned down to scrap metal, with damage estimated at NT$50,000.
• Traffic was heavy at the time, and passing drivers described the heat as startling.

Outlook: Fire investigators are still working out what caused the blaze.
