• She plans to bring Hawaii-based models with her, keeping local representation on a global runway.
• The Shane Victorino Foundation stepped in with funding so she could focus on her designs instead of fundraising.
• Before the help arrived, she was selling popsicles to try to cover the cost of the trip.
