Days of heavy rain brought down a tree and soil onto a road in Kaohsiung's Dashe district, closing a lane and slowing traffic for local drivers.

• A tree and loose earth collapsed onto Xuefu Road on the morning of the 23rd, blocking the side heading toward E-DA.
• Police were alerted around 9am and sealed off one lane to keep drivers away from the debris.
• Bulldozers and other heavy machinery were sent in to clear the road.
• The cause is days of nonstop heavy rain soaking the hillside soil.

Outlook: The lane should reopen once crews finish clearing the debris, but more rain could bring down other slopes nearby.
