Car crashes into utility pole in Linkou, four injured
Four people were hurt when a car slammed into a roadside utility pole in New Taipei's Linkou district, though all survived.
- The car lost control for unknown reasons and hit the pole hard enough to crush the front end.
- The male driver was pinned in the wreck by his legs until firefighters cut him free.
- All four inside — three men and one woman — were awake and alert, and were taken to Linkou Chang Gung Hospital.
- None of the injuries are life-threatening.
Outlook: Police are still checking whether drunk driving or speeding caused the crash.
