Eight central Taiwan counties and cities are showing off their farm products at a joint sales fair in Nantou, a boost for local growers and shoppers looking for cheap, traceable produce.

• The fair runs through the end of the month at a helium balloon park in Caotun, Nantou.
• Eight themed halls feature picked produce from Nantou, Taichung, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Changhua, Yunlin and Chiayi.
• Everything on sale carries traceability certification, so buyers can check where the food came from.
• Taichung mayor Lu Shiow-yen praised Nantou county chief Hsu Shu-hua's team for organizing this year's event, calling her the strongest administrator in the region.
• The event has grown since three counties started it in 2012, and now rotates between members each year, with brand days and food education activities.
