Woman trapped 50 minutes in a Changhua market elevator
A woman in her 60s was stuck in a hot glass elevator car in Changhua for 50 minutes before firefighters freed her, with no injuries.
- The elevator jammed between the second and third floors of the Huayang market parking building late Friday morning.
- The car has glass walls, so she waved to people on the street below for help.
- Firefighters lowered the car to the second floor and got her out around 11:30 a.m.
- She was drenched in sweat from the heat and drank bottled water as soon as she was free, but did not need a hospital trip.
