Taiwan's Taoyuan mayoral race heats up as the DPP challenger accuses the sitting mayor of failing to deliver on a TSMC expansion and a new hospital — bad news for Mayor Chang San-cheng if the attack sticks, but the city says both projects are moving.

• Land purchases and compensation for that science park site have already started early, the city says.

• The city also questioned what Huang has actually delivered for Taoyuan in more than ten years in politics.
