Chen Pin-an Unveils Miaoli County Magistrate Campaign Spokesperson Team and Governance Blueprint
Chen Pin-an, the Democratic Progressive Party's candidate for Miaoli County Magistrate in Taiwan, has formally launched his campaign structure — for local voters, the beginning of a promise of reform.
- Chen Pin-an has introduced the "Happy Miaoli 345 Governance Blueprint," centred on three guarantees, four pillars and five shared goods.
- The campaign spokesperson team is made up of Legislator Chang Ya-lin, County Councillor Weng Chieh and local association chairperson Lo Wan-fang, with an emphasis on spanning generations and fields of expertise.
- Miaoli currently faces three major challenges — fiscal imbalance, population outflow and industrial transition — and the blueprint takes fiscal discipline as its core.
- The policy platform focuses on industry, care for the elderly and children, transport and retaining talent in the county, extending further to culture, education, the environment and regional balance.
- The team positions itself as connecting with the central government to secure resources while also monitoring county administration and county finances.
Outlook: As the campaign heats up, Miaoli County's finances and population outflow are expected to become the main battleground of contention among the rival camps.
