Two doctors at Taiwan's Tri-Service General Hospital investigated over forged documents
Prosecutors have opened a criminal case against staff at one of Taiwan's main military hospitals, a blow to the hospital's transplant program and its reputation.
- Two doctors and two administrators in the transplant department are accused of forging documents last year.
- The Shilin District Prosecutors Office sent Taipei police to search the hospital and question the four as defendants.
- Three other people were called in as witnesses.
- The transplant unit handles organ transplants, so paperwork fraud there raises questions about how cases were approved.
Outlook: Prosecutors will decide in the coming weeks whether to press formal charges.
