Taiwan's Uniforce Fasteners wins Volvo EX60 supply deal
A Taiwanese car-parts maker has landed a spot in Volvo's newest electric-car supply chain, and profits are expected to climb back to earlier highs — good news for the company and its investors.
- Uniforce (7718) is the only Taiwanese firm cleared to make the waterproof bolts used in the Volvo EX60's battery chassis.
- Full production starts in the second half of this year and should add double-digit growth to yearly sales.
- First-half results already improved sharply, with profit margins hitting a five-year high.
- Around 10 other local suppliers should pick up extra orders from the same deal.
- Over 90% of sales go abroad — six in ten to North America, three in ten to Europe.
Outlook: With steadier currency and tariff conditions plus new AI tools on the factory floor, full-year profit is expected to return to the level seen two years ago.
