Magnitude 3.6 earthquake hits Nan'ao, Yilan

- It was very shallow, only about 6 kilometers deep, which makes shaking feel stronger at the surface.
- The strongest shaking, intensity level 3, was felt in Nan'ao and in Heping, Hualien County.
- The epicenter sat roughly 43 kilometers south of the Yilan county government.
Outlook: Small aftershocks are possible in the same area, but a quake this size rarely causes damage.
