Li Shih-chuan Proposes a Taipei–New Taipei "AI Technology Corridor," Easing Regulations to Speed Up Development
New Taipei City mayoral candidate Li Shih-chuan has presented the business community with a city blueprint centred on the AI industry, a favourable development for the technology sector and construction-related industries.
- Li argues for replicating the experience of Nvidia's move into the Beitou-Shilin Technology Park and the resolution of the Taipei Dome impasse, easing outdated regulations and speeding up administrative procedures.
- His core policy platform is to link the Nangang Software Park, the Neihu Technology Park and the Beitou-Shilin Technology Park, bringing high-tech industry all the way into New Taipei.
- On transport, he is promoting a "Rail Construction 123" plan, including the Tamsui-Taipei Expressway, the Dahan River MRT trunk line and the extension of the Zhonghe Guangfu line, with the goal of a 30-minute living circle across Taipei and New Taipei.
- He stressed that a government's greatest responsibility is to solve problems, and that good opportunities must not be dragged down by outdated laws and regulations.
- The speech was delivered at the Third Wednesday Club, amounting to a direct appeal for support from business owners.
