Power is slowly coming back across Hawaii, which is good news for the thousands of homes and businesses still in the dark.

• Hawaiian Electric expects 95% of affected customers to have power back by Friday.
• Hawaii County is hit hardest, with more than 17,000 customers still out.
• Oahu has about 2,500 outages left, Maui under 900, and Kauai fewer than 100.
• Crews are working island by island, so the smaller islands should clear first.

Outlook: Most customers should be back online within days, with the Big Island the last to fully recover.
