Hawaii public schools to reopen Wednesday, 2 remain closed
Most of Hawaii is getting back to normal after a disruption, though a couple of Big Island schools are still shut.

- Public schools are also back in session, with a few Big Island exceptions.
- Nāʻālehu Elementary and Kaʻū High & Pāhala Elementary stay closed for the rest of the week.
- Officials are still checking damage at those two campuses.
Outlook: Those Big Island schools will reopen once damage checks and repairs are done.
