Vietnamese woman rescued from Keelung's Tianliao River after fall from bridge
A 40-year-old Vietnamese woman survived a fall from a bridge into a river in Keelung after clinging to a railing until firefighters reached her.
- The woman fell from Caishu Bridge over the Tianliao River late Tuesday night, reportedly after a fight with her husband.
- Passers-by called emergency services, and she held onto a railing above the water instead of being swept away.
- Keelung's fire department sent 16 people, seven vehicles and two boats, and used an extension ladder to pull her out.
- She had no obvious injuries but was taken to hospital as a precaution and is not in danger.
