These Oahu and Hawaii Island schools will stay closed Tuesday
Storm disruption keeps some Hawaii schools shut for another day, a headache for parents but a safety call for students and staff.
- All public schools and offices on the Big Island stay closed Tuesday.
- On Oahu, four campuses stay closed: Daniel K. Inouye Elementary, Pearl City High School and two other elementary schools.
- Public schools on Kauai and in Maui County reopen as normal.
- Several other campuses are open to staff only, so families should check with their own school.
Outlook: Most of the state is back to normal Tuesday, with the Big Island and a handful of Oahu schools likely reopening once conditions and campus damage are cleared.
