Taipei airport career tour for 17 children from Randy Children's Home
Duty-free retailer Ever Rich and Taoyuan International Airport gave 17 children from a residential care home a look at airport jobs, a small positive for kids who rarely get that kind of exposure.
- Seventeen residents of Randy Children's Home spent the day at Taoyuan airport learning what people there actually do.
- The tour ran from duty-free shop service work out onto the tarmac, with a close look at planes, ground vehicles, the third terminal, and ramp and flight-safety checks.
- Airport officials pitched the site as a jobs hub, not just a departure point — more than 30,000 people work there daily across government offices, airlines, ground handling, and retail.
- Ever Rich has backed the home since 2010 and has shifted its support toward career exposure, adding tea-making, fragrance, and styling sessions to the day.
- The home cares for 44 children up to age 18 who have lost family support, and says this kind of contact matters for building independence.
Outlook: More workplace visits and hands-on sessions are planned as the sponsorship continues.
