Taiwanese yo-yo player Chang Hung-lun took second place at the 2026 World Yo-Yo Contest in Japan, a first for Taiwan and a feel-good moment for the island.

• He came through a field of top players from more than 10 countries, topping the semifinals before finishing second in the final.
