TPF Global Extreme Fitness "Iron" Championship kicks off two-month countdown with night training at Taipei 101

Aug 16, 2026

Taiwan's TPF global extreme fitness championship is ramping up promotion ahead of its October showdown, a positive lift for the local fitness and running scene.

  • The event is two months out, with a hard-training night camp held at the water dance plaza beside Taipei 101.
  • For the first time, organizers teamed up with adidas Runners Taipei, blending running rhythm, teamwork, and functional strength drills.
  • Over a hundred fitness and running fans joined, tackling dumbbell push presses, kettlebell snatches, sandbag lifts and squats, plus weighted shuttle runs.
  • Many first-timers said functional training felt less intimidating than expected once they gave it a try.
  • The format ran as team competitions to build the camaraderie and grit the actual contest rewards.

Outlook: A final training camp lands in Taichung on September 12, leading into the main championship at Taichung City Hall plaza on October 17–18, with sign-ups in their final stretch.
