Penghu Family Support 55 years: over 2,600 disadvantaged children and youth helped toward independence
The Penghu Center of the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) celebrated 55 years of local service, a heartwarming piece of local charity news.
- On the 16th, the TFCF Penghu Center held a "The Sea Is Better with You, Love Without End" appreciation performance at the Performance Hall of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, celebrating 55 years of dedicated work in Penghu.
- Over the past 55 years, it has helped more than 2,600 disadvantaged children and youth move toward independence, and it is currently still serving over 500 people.
- The county government, the council, township and city chiefs, and local civic groups came to show their support, and TFCF CEO Chou Ta-yao thanked local public and private resources for their long-term commitment.
- The center had a tailored suit made for each self-reliant youth to share their life story on stage, and the Lions Club and Zonta Club also presented flowers and hope gift money.
Outlook: The county government said that in the future it will combine the strengths of the public and private sectors to continue helping TFCF expand its support services for children and youth.
