Rescuers pulled an injured woman from a Taiwan national park after a swarm of giant hornets attacked her hiking group, but two of her companions are still missing and feared dead.

• Her two male hiking partners, both in their 60s, went into cardiac arrest during the attack and got separated from her.
• The three were tour guides scouting a trail for an upcoming event when the swarm hit.
• Steep terrain, thick brush, and heavy thunderstorms slowed the rescue, dragging it out over more than a day.
• Medics gave the woman an epinephrine shot; she was conscious but weak when found and is now in the hospital.
