Taiwan's biggest chip industry gathering is going bigger this year, a sign of how central AI demand has become to the whole semiconductor business.

• SEMICON Taiwan's top executive summit will run a full day for the first time on Sept. 2, focused on the chips and systems needed to run AI at scale.
• Google's AI and infrastructure chief Amin Vahdat opens the event with his first public keynote in Asia, laying out where AI hardware is headed.
• Leaders from Microsoft, Micron, Broadcom, Infineon, Meta and Nvidia will talk through how computing, memory, power and packaging all have to advance together for large AI systems.
• The heads of Taiwan's key players — TSMC, Foxconn, MediaTek, ASE and Unimicron — will close it out discussing how Taiwan stays central as AI orders surge.

Outlook: The event runs Sept. 2-4 in Taipei and points to another year of heavy investment and tight coordination across the AI chip supply chain.
