A young Hawaii baseball team from Pearl City has come home as world champions, a feel-good win for the small community.

• Pearl City Little League won the 2026 Senior League Baseball World Series in South Carolina.
• The team lost its opening game, then rolled through five straight wins, three of them shutouts.
• Along the way they knocked out the same region that had beaten them three seasons ago, a loss that fueled this run.
• Most of the players are also teammates at Pearl City High and have played together for years, giving them tight chemistry.
• For most of the boys this was their final year of eligibility, making the title a fitting send-off.

Outlook: A grand parade through Pearl City is planned later this month to celebrate the champions.
