Motorcyclist in Lukang, Changhua Thrown After Colliding With Car; Remains in Critical Condition
A road accident in Lukang, Changhua, has left a motorcyclist seriously injured — grim news for the victim and his family.
- Late on the night of the 13th, a man surnamed Yu was riding his motorcycle through the intersection at Nanshi Lane in Lukang Township and attempting to turn left when he collided with a car that was pulling out of the lane.
- The impact was severe, throwing Yu more than 10 metres. His motorcycle was completely destroyed, and the front of the other vehicle was also damaged.
- On the 15th, the hospital said Yu had suffered intracranial bleeding and multiple fractures, and remained unconscious and in critical condition.
- Police said breathalyser readings for both parties were normal, and they have obtained footage from intersection surveillance cameras to determine the cause of the accident and where responsibility lies.
Outlook: The victim is still receiving emergency treatment, and the assignment of liability will not be confirmed until the surveillance footage and the investigation results are available.
