A 48-year-old woman surnamed Yang was struck and run over by a car while riding her motorcycle home from work, dying at the scene, and the driver responsible fled — a serious traffic accident in Hsinchu.

• The incident occurred near Sanxingqiao Station in Hsinchu City's Xiangshan District, where a passenger car turning left collided with a motorcycle travelling straight in the opposite direction.
• Although Yang was wearing a helmet, she suffered severe head injuries and lost consciousness; she was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.
• The car is suspected to have run over Yang and then fled the scene directly, without staying to help.
• Police recovered the vehicle abandoned by the perpetrator in front of the station and reviewed nearby surveillance footage, and have now identified a specific suspect.
• A friend of Yang posted in an online community group, calling on drivers who passed through the road section to provide dashcam footage to help clarify the truth.
