A wildfire is still burning on Hawaii Island, but no homes or buildings have been damaged so far.

• About 230 acres have burned along the Daniel K. Inouye Highway in South Kohala.
• County, state, and federal crews are fighting the fire on the ground and from the air.
• No structures have been damaged, and the fire is being slowly brought under control.
• The highway is closed from Old Saddle Road to Highway 190.
