University of Hawaii football is holding its main fundraising dinner, the Brotherhood Ball, to help pay for the costs of building the team.

• The event takes place August 22 at the Sheraton Waikiki, with about 60 hosted tables.
• All money raised goes straight to the football program — food, housing, equipment, nutrition, and technology for players.
• A big need is recruiting: 30 new players arrived after the transfer portal opened in January, and the team helps them relocate and settle in Hawaii.
• The night includes live music, silent auctions, and five live auction packages, including VIP trips with the 49ers, Raiders, UFC, and LA Clippers.

Outlook: Tickets and tables are on sale now through Hawaii Athletics and Friends of Hawaii Football ahead of the August 22 event.
