Bitcoin's August curse may not repeat this year
August is usually a weak month for Bitcoin, but the setup this time looks less dangerous.
- Bitcoin has closed August in the red in eight of the last 11 years, including the last four in a row.
- The usual cause of those drops was over-leveraged traders getting wiped out.
- That flush already happened back in late June, when Bitcoin fell just under $50,000 and leveraged bets got cleared out.
- Because that pressure is already gone, Bitcoin heads into August with cleaner, less risky positioning.
Outlook: With the leverage already washed out, Bitcoin may avoid the sharp August drop that history warns about.
## Bitcoin Levels
- **Bias:** Cautiously bullish — the seasonal risk looks weaker than usual
- **Support:** ~$50,000 (June low was just below it)
